"en": "<p data-HoCid=\"609442\" data-originallang=\"en\">Mr. Speaker, I thank the hon. member for his continuous efforts to fight crime in this country.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"609443\" data-originallang=\"en\">As Attorney General, I do not comment specifically on a case, but I want the House to know that this government is absolutely committed to the best interests and protection of children. That is why we introduced Bill <a data-HoCid=\"2304794\" href=\"/bills/39-1/C-22/\" title=\"An Act to amend the Criminal Code (age of protection) and to make consequential amendments to the Criminal Records Act\">C-22</a>, the age of protection legislation, to protect 14 and 15 year olds from sexual predators. That is why we have introduced Bill <a data-HoCid=\"2397807\" href=\"/bills/39-1/C-27/\" title=\"An Act to amend the Criminal Code (dangerous offenders and recognizance to keep the peace)\">C-27</a>, to improve the process by which violent and repeat offenders will be kept in prison. That is why we introduced Bill <a data-HoCid=\"2172003\" href=\"/bills/39-1/C-9/\" title=\"An Act to amend the Criminal Code (conditional sentence of imprisonment)\">C-9</a>, to ensure that violent and serious offenders do not get house arrest.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"609444\" data-originallang=\"en\">We are absolutely committed to the best interests of children, victims, reducing crime in this country and\u2014</p>",
