        "en": "<p data-HoCid=\"608781\" data-originallang=\"en\">Mr. Speaker, if I may, I would also like give a kind word to my hon. friend from the NDP. She and I do not agree on things a lot of the time, but I always find her very good to work with and a very fine finance critic, very experienced and very knowledgeable. So, I too regret that we are getting into personal aspersions.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"608782\" data-originallang=\"en\">The fact of the matter is that every tax system has a series of supports for various sectors of the economy. These are good and useful, and helpful things to ensure that various sectors, various businesses, can succeed in the whole scheme of the global economy. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"608783\" data-originallang=\"en\">As I was answering the previous question, there are always arrangements which allow us, in this context of global competition and competitiveness, to succeed. But that is not to say that we should not ensure that these series of arrangements of subsidies, of tax breaks, are fair and balanced. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"608784\" data-originallang=\"en\">When we see two committees of this House plus the Auditor General, plus a special panel, and other experts saying that a particular tax loophole is unfair, we are going to address that. I think Canadians appreciate that we have the courage to rebalance the system where it needs to be but continue to lower taxes for everyone.</p>",

Les subventions sont utiles et aident \u00e0 faire en sorte que les divers secteurs et les diverses soci\u00e9t\u00e9s puissent prosp\u00e9rer dans l'\u00e9conomie mondiale.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"608783\" data-originallang=\"en\">Comme je l'ai dit dans ma r\u00e9ponse pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente, nous pouvons toujours prendre des mesures qui nous permettent de r\u00e9ussir sur le march\u00e9 mondial. Mais cela ne veut pas dire que nous ne devons pas veiller \u00e0 ce que ces mesures, ces subventions et ces cr\u00e9dits d'imp\u00f4t soient justes et \u00e9quilibr\u00e9s.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"608784\" data-originallang=\"en\">Quand deux comit\u00e9s de la Chambre, la v\u00e9rificatrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, un comit\u00e9 sp\u00e9cial et divers experts disent qu'une \u00e9chappatoire fiscale en particulier est injuste, nous allons l'\u00e9liminer. Je pense que les Canadiens reconnaissent que nous avons le courage de r\u00e9\u00e9quilibrer le syst\u00e8me au besoin tout en continuant de r\u00e9duire les imp\u00f4ts pour tous.</p>"
