        "en": "<p data-HoCid=\"295675\" data-originallang=\"en\">Mr. Speaker, I first want to acknowledge the work of the member for <a data-HoCid=\"78455\" href=\"/politicians/mauril-belanger/\" title=\"Mauril B\u00e9langer\">Ottawa\u2014Vanier</a> who, ever since he has been in this place, has been the voice on behalf of the linguistic duality of Canada. In our caucus, and I know in this place, he has taken every opportunity to remind us of the rich heritage that we have in our two official languages.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"295676\" data-originallang=\"en\">He has also, and I think it is reflective in his speech, reached out to explain how Canada has developed into a country that celebrates cultural diversity and representation from countries all around the world that contribute to the greatness of Canada and also, as he puts it, the beacon for countries around the world.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"295677\" data-originallang=\"en\">The media commentary on this issue has somehow deflected, from time to time, attention away from the points that have been raised by the speakers so far about the importance or the strength of Canada and the reasons why we are here to protect it.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"295678\" data-originallang=\"en\">I wonder if the member could share his thoughts on how we can assure Canadians that what is happening here, in terms of supporting and protecting Canada and embracing the Quebec reality as well, is important for Canada's long term future.</p>",

Dans notre caucus, comme \u00e0 la Chambre, il saisit toutes les occasions pour nous rappeler la richesse du patrimoine que constituent nos deux langues officielles. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"295676\" data-originallang=\"en\">Il s'est aussi employ\u00e9, et cela transpara\u00eet dans ses propos selon moi, \u00e0 expliquer comment le Canada est devenu un pays qui c\u00e9l\u00e8bre la diversit\u00e9 culturelle et fait une place \u00e0 des gens originaires de divers pays dans le monde, ce qui en fait un endroit extraordinaire et un phare pour les autres pays, comme le dit si bien le d\u00e9put\u00e9. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"295677\" data-originallang=\"en\">Les analyses des m\u00e9dias sur ce dossier ont parfois d\u00e9tourn\u00e9 l'attention des points soulev\u00e9s par les intervenants \u00e0 ce jour quant \u00e0 l'importance ou \u00e0 la force du Canada et aux raisons pour lesquelles nous devons prot\u00e9ger notre pays.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"295678\" data-originallang=\"en\">Le d\u00e9put\u00e9 pourrait-il nous dire comment, \u00e0 son avis, nous pouvons assurer aux Canadiens que le d\u00e9bat actuel, pour ce qui est de soutenir et de prot\u00e9ger le Canada en reconnaissant la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise, est important pour l'avenir \u00e0 long terme du Canada?</p>"
