It is not surprising that the abattoirs have more than doubled their profits over last year.</p>\n<p>I call on the minister to do something, which will cost him nothing, and that is to work with his counterparts from Quebec and the provinces to establish a base price for cull cows in order to save the farmers. It will cost him nothing, requiring only good faith.</p>",
