        "en": "<p>Mr. Speaker, I present a petition on behalf of 226 constituents of Saanich\u2014Gulf Islands, which brings the total number of signatures to over 15,000 so far.</p>\n<p>The petitioners request that parliament support private member's Bill C-237, known as Bill C-304, proposed by the member for Yorkton\u2014Melville concerning the strengthening of property rights.</p>\n<p>The protection of property rights is in the Canadian bill of rights. It specifically guarantees that every person has the right to the enjoyment of their property; the right not to be deprived of their property unless they are given a fair hearing, paid fairly, timely and impartially fixed compensation; and the right to appeal to the courts if their property rights have been infringed upon.</p>",
