        "en": "<p>Madam Speaker, my answer to that frankly is that tonight in Canada there are not hundreds of thousands of children in danger of dying. That is what is happening in the great lakes region of Africa. We are dealing with poverty of children at home. It is a desperate situation in our country and it is getting worse, not better.</p>\n<p>I think the meeting which our minister is going to have with provincial ministers in the very near future is going to bear results along those lines.</p>\n<p>However, there is no such thing as problems that belong to only one country anymore. A problem of this magnitude, of this severity, affects Canada and affects the developed and rich countries of the world. That is why we have an obligation to be there and to prevent the kind of suffering and death that would happen without our being there.</p>",
