However, this promise applies only to the English-speaking provinces, as the CNTU revealed yesterday.</p>\n<p>The Maritime provinces, which lost 3,000 jobs when military bases were closed, have now received $20 million to help diversify their economy. Quebec lost nearly 1,000 jobs as a result of similar cuts and received a meagre $200,000.</p>\n<p>Furthermore, during the past four years, Quebec's defence industry lost 7,000 jobs and is still waiting for the federal government to adjust Defence Industry Productivity Program.</p>\n<p>This is one more example of the injustice done to Quebec.
