He hails from my neck of the woods. I want to appreciate his pointing out the unique position of M\u00e9tis settlements in Alberta. It's a point I'm trying to emphasize on behalf of Albertans repeatedly in this committee\u2014indeed, in part because four of the eight M\u00e9tis settlements are in Lakeland.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7169542\" data-originallang=\"en\">Lee, <a data-HoCid=\"278942\" href=\"/politicians/patty-hajdu/\" title=\"Patty Hajdu\">Minister Hajdu</a> was here on Friday. She said, \u201cwe have begun to transfer funding for distinctions-based, M\u00e9tis-specific programming to M\u00e9tis governments.\u201d You're an elected councillor of the M\u00e9tis government in Kikino. I just want to clarify. Has Kikino received any funding from the federal government, or has anyone from the federal government reached out to the settlement?</p>",
