Who are we going to tell that they aren't getting the funding? Are we going to have to cut climate programs? We can't afford to cut our climate programs. We have a moral responsibility to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and make sure we're sustainable in the long run. If cutting those programs is an option, I don't see that as a very good idea, personally.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8946633\" data-originallang=\"en\">As you mentioned, a lot of what we're doing here is investing in large-scale projects that will grow the economy and grow the GDP, such as ports, electricity corridors and all those sorts of things. There is a big difference between investing in these long-term projects that will grow the economy and cutting taxes in a really irresponsible fashion.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8946634\" data-originallang=\"en\"> All of that is to say I don't agree with this either. I think this is not well thought-out.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8946635\" data-originallang=\"en\">Talking about our income tax rates compared to those of our peers in the G7 and the OECD, I'm wondering if any of the witnesses here would be able to elaborate on how Canada compares.</p>",
