I am a survivor of a suicide attempt. For me, this award meant more than just a scholarship. It was truly a form of suicide prevention for me. It allowed me to focus on getting the care I needed, while relieving the constant worry about paying for my university education. It allowed me to focus on the social impact I could have by starting a mental health non-profit, for which I received the lieutenant governor's award.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8064085\" data-originallang=\"en\"> This award goes beyond academic support. It truly serves as a safety net for youth from all walks of life across this country and positions them to be our future leaders in government, science, academia and so much more.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8064086\" data-originallang=\"en\">Thank you.</p>",

Cela m'a permis de me concentrer sur l'obtention des soins dont j'avais besoin, tout en soulageant l'inqui\u00e9tude constante caus\u00e9e par le financement de mes \u00e9tudes universitaires. Cela m'a permis de me concentrer sur l'impact social que je pourrais avoir en lan\u00e7ant un organisme \u00e0 but non lucratif en sant\u00e9 mentale, pour lequel j'ai re\u00e7u le prix du lieutenant-gouverneur.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8064085\" data-originallang=\"en\"> Ce prix va au\u2011del\u00e0 du soutien universitaire. Il sert vraiment de filet de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 pour les jeunes de tous les horizons au pays et les met en situation de devenir nos futurs chefs de file dans les domaines du gouvernement, des sciences, du milieu universitaire et bien plus encore.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8064086\" data-originallang=\"en\">Merci.</p>"
