At the moment, the Ontario pilot project stands to be axed. It's still not clear exactly whether or not that will be salvaged in some way by the federal government, or replaced by a federal program. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5595695\" data-originallang=\"en\">One way or another, will there be research to clarify whether or not basic income is an appropriate instrument in Canada for both economic and social development?</p>",
