This committee looked at the matter in quite some detail, received quite a few witnesses--perhaps 15 witnesses--and came out with a report. The committee supported, as I remember, two-thirds of the recommendations that I made.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"2120234\" data-originallang=\"en\"> However, the Minister of Justice replied that he was not proceeding with reforms to the Privacy Act at that time and encouraged us to look for administrative approaches to privacy problems with the government, so this is what we're doing in lieu of reform of the Privacy Act.</p>",
